Jez died in her sleep last night.
We found out yesterday that she had intestinal lymphoma, and the only sane thing to do was to put her to sleep because treatment would've been too much for her.
We were hoping that she could hang on till I got back to town next week because I've been in Atlanta & Charlotte since Monday for work, but it didn't work out that way.
We never knew how old she really was, but I had her for 9 years.
A month after moving to NYC, we were walking out of Teddy's, a bar in our neighborhood in Brooklyn, and she walked out with us. No one in the bar had ever seen her or knew what she was doing there so I took her home and named her after the woman whose room I was getting because she was moving back to the UK.
Four years later, Jez and I moved to Hollywood.
Bye Lil' Jez
rest in peace sweet jez. xoxo

Can't believe the sad, sad news. I not only look forward to visiting you and Thairin when I can make it to LA, but also could not wait to hang with the best sweetest little cat around. I always told Chris that we would take Jez anyday and wished our two cats were more like her. Thinking about you guys and Jez.
